Si tu vois ma mère

Tim and I recently went on a miniature trip to Quebec City to celebrate two years of being together! Quebec City is one of my favourite places, it really makes you feel like a small piece of Europe floated over to the centre of Canada and placed itself right in the city. Between the old detailed architecture and cobble stone streets you feel like you've travelled back in time to simpler times.

We started out our trip by going to Les Galleries de la Capitale, the largest mall in eastern Canada intact with a skating rink, amusement park and movie theatre! We shopped around and got some lunch then headed out to our hotel. We've stayed at Le Capitole before and absolutely loved it's charms so it was a no brainer on where we wanted to stay. This time we opted for the upgraded room. Have you ever seen a 2 storey hotel room? Cause I hadn't until then! The whole room is wood and red velvet. Very 70's inspired, or maybe the decor actually is from the 70's!

We did a lot of walking, sight seeing and eating. We went for burgers (grilled cheese for me) and fries at Chic Shack, fish and chips at D'orsay and ice cream in the old port. Although nothing beats dinner at Sapristi! Pan fried cheese with chutney and pear, seafood linguini and s'mores dip! My mouth is salivating just thinking about it!!

If you ever get the chance to go to Quebec City I highly recommend checking out their museum in the old port. It's interactive and a ton of fun! Kind of like clue meets an escape room.

All in all it was a very relaxing and romantic weekend with my Tim and I can't wait to see what this next year will bring for us!

Love,

Chelsea Alyssa
